Estate planning · Buckhead, Atlanta

It's the last love letter you get to write.

Let us help you make it a good one.

Estate planning and asset protection aren't exactly the sexiest topics. I'm Amber Saunders — and I'll bring humor, compassion, and occasionally a little tough love to the conversation nobody in your family wants to start.

The story

Why I ask the uncomfortable questions.

My family learned the difference between a plan and no plan the hard way. That is the whole reason this firm exists.

  1. Dorothea

    My grandmother was prepared.

She had done the work. When she died, her wishes were known and her family could grieve her instead of untangling her.

  2. Uncle Walter

    My uncle was not.

No will. Nobody had asked him the questions, and once he was gone there was no one left to ask.

  3. Aleta

It cost my mother three years.

Three years of flights, creditors and the IRS — with, in her own words, “barely a moment to grieve.” The family home went with it.

  4. The Saunders Firm

    So now I ask.

My clients put it best: “You ask us more questions than any of those other people did.” Good. That is the job.

Practice areas

Three things I do, and do properly.

  1. 01 / 03

    Estate planning

Reclaim your legacy, financial and otherwise.

A plan is a will, trusts, advance directives, and a plan for anyone in your care — built around the questions most people would rather not answer.

  2. 02 / 03

    Estate administration

Guidance on handling the estate of a loved one who has passed.

When someone dies, the paperwork does not wait for the grief to finish. This is the part my own family had to do alone.

  3. 03 / 03

    Business law

Protect the business you've worked so hard to build.

Offered as value-based, strategy-aligned subscription services — because the unpredictable nature of hourly-billed legal services can make it cost-prohibitive for entrepreneurs.

Is this you?

This is for you if…

  • You remember how complicated things got when your own folks passed, and you want to save your children the headache
  • You're a parent or a caregiver yourself, and you want a plan in place in case something happens to you
  • You're trying to talk your parents into estate planning and you need some support in the process
  • You're less worried about getting this done quickly and more worried about getting it done right
  • You've let fear of your own mortality get in the way of doing the responsible thing (we see you)
What goes into a plan

Four documents. One conversation.

A will

Who gets what, in writing, so nobody has to guess what you would have wanted.

Trusts

Plan privately, avoid unnecessary delays, and leave clear instructions for the future.

Advance directives

Your voice on your own care, for the stretch when you cannot speak for yourself.

Planning for anyone in your care

Children, parents, dependants — the people whose next chapter depends on your paperwork.

In her clients' words
“Attorney Saunders is hands down one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with. She walked my husband and I through our Estate paperwork and had so much patience with us and then has continued to answer any questions we may have.”
